Dr. Montessori said, "The most important period of  life is not the age of University studies, but the period from birth to the age of six, for that is the time when intelligence itself is being formed."

Lilburn Montessori School is a private, in home, school.  Mrs. Sharon Sowers is an accredited, experienced AMI Montessori teacher.

The essence of the Montessori Method is to understand the needs of the child.  Not all children need to be in a large classroom of students.  Lilburn Montessori School accepts only up to 8 students per school year.  Our educational environment fosters the potential for the child to succeed.

The Montessori classroom allows children to move, touch, manipulate, and explore.  The materials aid the child in his/her exploration of the environment.

The materials for Language and Math extend to explorations in Science and Social Studies, Botany, Geometry, Grammar, Geography, Zoology and so on.

At Lilburn Montessori School we know that childhood happens only once.  A Montessori education ensures that your child will make the best of it.

Dr. Montessori refers to the children who have been taught using these materials.  She says:
